Surely this isn't a serious question but I'll take a stab at it. First of all, I don't think we've ever been visited by anyone outsdie our own solar system. If someone or something had visited us they'd have left absolute definitive proof that they were here; the idea of "passive observation" is fiction and nothing more.
Secondly, why would a species that has mastered faster than light travel and interstellar naviagation even WANT to visit our planet much less know where it is.
On the far flung chance that we have been visited, it would be (or has been) so catacylsmically shocking to our egos and overall mental state that we would have to figure out a way to deny it cause we haven't figured it out yet.

While I do believe in extra-terrestrials, there is no HARD evidence that is available to the general public. Also since the government has tried so hard to discredit any evidence some people simply choose to trust their government.

there is no substantiated proof of extra terrestrials having been to earth. speculators can say what they want. scientists can run statistics and say it has some probability. string theory might show its happening right now.
if they exist and are smarter than us then they probably would stay away because they would be afraid of us killing them.

It's human nature to be afraid of anything we aren't familiar with and or can't control. What evidence are you refering to? The pyramids blow my mind and I can definately buy the theory that e.t. had a hand in their construction.

the governments of the world wish to cover up everything. if it was out in the open that we are not the only intelligent life in the universe religion goes out the window. and so do most government of the world. its to keep control of the world.

Same reason people don't believe in God. If they can't see it with their own eyes, then it must not be there.
