Canon, the ink cartridges are sooo less expensive then lexmark, you will save a ton of money if you go with a canon

Printers: I own a Canon. The software doesn't lock in my perference settings and the fine print feature is very slow. The Canon, however, does put out some really sharp nice quality print works and pictures from my digital cam (which also is a Canon).

Canon's digital cams are pretty impressive.

I've heard Lexmark's very good; but ink cartridge replacements may get pricey.

Canon is better - Lexmark's have really gone down on quality over the past 5 years and their cartridges are expensive. My favorite though is still HP, they last forever and the cartridges don't jam like epson & canons do at times - I find them to have better print quality and less paper jams.

Canon. I wouldn't use a Lexmark for toilet paper (that would hurt like hell).

I think I would go with the Canon. Well-known name plus with printers pretty much being throw-aways now (give you the printer cheap, then get you with the cartridges) you can get generic, compatible cartridges for your Canon. If you check out carrotink, they have almost monthly specials where if you buy a set of black and colors, you get a free black cartridge and free shipping. Been going there for years and haven't been disappointed yet (knock wood).

none of them all to expensive for the ink cart.
i would advise getting an epson really easy to use and the running costs are the lowest and the quality is the same as the others the worst is lexmark.. i would never advise anybody to get 1 of their printers.
