I prefer to think that peoples' weaknesses are their yet-to-be-developed strengths.

To tackle your weakness - admit to it, embrace it, find out how weak you actually are, and then the answer will come to you.

To feed your strength - know it, don't doubt it, don't boast about it, enjoy. Strengths are self-replenishing when you apply them.

Your strengths and weaknesses are inseparable from each other. You have to work on both of them.

Tyler's answer is what I have been taught and believe. Working on your weakness usually just ends up in frustration. Now if you weakness is rooted in addiction you can manage it simply with a 1 day at a time attitude. Also within a weakness you maybe able to find a strength that balance it all out. I manage both by goal setting!

In business strategy classes and books I have always been taught to feed or maximize your strengths. Make yourself a juggernaut in whatever you can. But also, never ignore your weaknesses. Know them and understand them, but most importantly manage them. Fill in gaps that will help minimize your weaknesses, or at least their importance.

To maximize either strengthening your strengths, helping your weaknesses, or as I say, manage your weaknesses - the answer is simple. It's practice, research, and just diving in and immersing yourself in the respective topic.

I am a firm believer in natural consequences. Whatever your strengths or weaknesses are, we have them for a reason. Learn from them! Putting to much focus on either of them will stunt your growth of mental knowledge. Do what you do naturally. If something is more difficult, manage it then. If something comes easier for you, enjoy it! Just don't get so wrapped up in the crap that you forget to emurse yourself into you life experiences!!! That's the whole meaning of life. Experience.....

Feeding your strengths or tackeling your weakness depends on your mental state. It all comes down to coping with your immediate needs, say for instance you are having a bad day, you will tend to feed your strenghts, do things to lift yourself up.

Tackle your weakness first.

there is always time to strengthen your strong points later, and if you don't get rid of your weakness, it will always be holding you back, whereas if you eliminate it, you are simply S-T-R-O-N-G.
