Yes, North Korea should be stopped before they start a nuclear war and end the world. Kim Jong 2 is crazy and his people are dieing in the streets. He needs to be stopped.

The destruction of North Korea's weapons andmilitary capabilities is not a choice. We don't have the military capability at this time to destroy them, absent the use of nuclear weapons and certainly no one would want that. Our military has more than then can handle right now in Bush's war on Iraq. Bush made the election that Iraq was a greater threat than North Korea. Hopefully he knew he could not take on both at the same time although that is giving him the benefit of the doubt to which he may not be entitled. More importantly, if attacking other countries militarily is America's only approach to dealing with countries who don't share our beliefs then how do you distinguish us from terrorists?

As it stands, the United States is far too entangled in Middle East conflicts to enter into an aggressive action with North Korea. Ideally, the U.S. military could stop out a small country like North Korea, but in the face of waivering military recruitment and poor standing within the international community, U.S. aggression in Korea would only work to the detriment of domestic economy and international politics.
Don't get me wrong, I want to see Kim Jong Il ejected as much as anyone else. I think that he is dangerous and clearly malevolent. Furthermore, he does not have the backing of the larger international community, but indeed he does have the friendship of China. A regime change in North Korea is necessary, but clearly charging in now and overthrowing the government in an attempt to establish a democracy (as seems to be the trend of the day) will only lead to a loss of life and the deterioration of multiple economies and diplomatic relations.
North Korea under Kim Jong Il is much like a spoiled child: impulsive, problematic, and unaddressed. Much as a 14 year-old baby sitter will only anger parents if too much action is taken against the child, so will we anger the world if we take action against North Korea now. Until the greater international community, including China and Russia, are willing to commit to action in this matter, our best response can be actuated by passive measures, such as stronger economic sanctions against North Korea.
I am by no means a pacifist, but in the 21st century, G.W. Bush has abandoned Theodore Roosevelt's "Walk softly, but carry a big stick" for (aparently) "Jump up and down on bubble wrap, while waving a 2-by-4 with a rusty nail in it over one's head".

No. They have nothing. We are just going to wait for Kim Jong Li to die, and his regime to fizzle. Besides, why should WE take care of it for Christ's sake! Wake up Russia and China!

The negative propaganda would out-weigh whatever benefit would come from attacking such a backward country. Its better to wait them out til they pull a USSR, and crumble.
