My bfs parents dont let him do anything he is 18 years old. it takes him bout 5 12 hours litterally to get out of his house...after goin thru investigation on what he wants to do who hes gonna be with and when hes comin home..he gets in trouble for tha smalleset things. which is pretty damn annoying when its not a big deal. he does tha dishes cleans tha bathroom and even washes his parents cars. yet he is always gettin yelled at cuz "he does nothin" when he does everything every single day. what do i do cuz i cant see him when hes doin chores all damn day. and right now im not even allowed at his house because he is being punished???!?!?!? supposedly...until he gets his stuff straight? which to them he is aways a screw up.

Look, he's 18. He needs to move out if he has any hope of escaping these parents. Unfortunately theres nothing you can do except support you man while he goes through this. These people have probably scarred him for life and your love and help could be the only thing to make him happy. If he decides to find an apartment and stuff help him to apply for good paying jobs and look for apartments and room mates and that kind of thing. If these are not options for him at this time he needs to just suck it up until they are. They don't sound like they type that will change from a good talking to.

Sheez... tell him to grow a pair. If he's 18 and tolerates being treated that way at home, then get out. Get a job, get an apartment and get a life.
Until he puts a roof over his own head, food on his own table and clothes on his own back he has no right to complain that his parents make him earn those things from them. Until he stops being a dependant child and becomes an independant adult, he has no right to complain that his parents treat him like one. Neither do you.

You said your boyfriend is 18. His parents can't do anything and can't make him do anything. He can move out at any time. Why you and your bf get together and go half on an apartment somewhere and get away from those controlling, annoying idiots who call themselves parents.

At eighteen, he is not handcuffed to the kitchen table. He is free to walk at any time. Maybe you are too demanding and he is using his parents chores as an excuse not to see you. Just think, otherwise he is free to walk if he does not like it..........
