there are 3 parts of tennis you need to improve: your stroke, your agility (footwork) and your endurance. try to do more practice to support those parts.
whenever you feel like you have a better hit, fast enough to run a ball and can play longer, try to learn how to play strategic tennis. please remember it's quite different to play singles and doubles.

The best answer is just practice a lot...but if your looking for exercises to do, I would try to work on having explosive legs, a strong core, and flexibility. For your legs try dumbbell jump squats/lunges, box jumps, clean and pulls, ect.. and sprinting exercises where you change directions. Do some compound excerises where you have to use your core too...like woodchopper or bent over rows. And strecth a lot...good luck.

Jogging lightly will help a lot. Also, you have to work on your foot work a lot... hopping from the left of the line to the right line... fast as possible... it helps your agility and that is key in tennis

tennis is more about skill than athleticism and the only way to get better at your skill is:
a) get a book on proper technique or an instructor.
b) PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!!

Cross train
Play other sports as well.
X-country running seems to help as a base for any sport you play.
