Check out Craiglist.org They have a section devoted to talent gigs in which you may be able to participate in something local. That can help get your foot in the door. Also, try contacing a local talent agency to see if they are interested and also look into acting/modeling classes.

Find class at your school, such as theater art. Practice and find much as you can bout the modeling and actress.
