I have taken several pregancies test all negative and the doctor's says home ones are accurate and that's that. I have got very sore boobs and had cramping for the last three weeks. Im sure Im pregant or something is not right. My doctor say a blood test is not necessary. I have not been examined I have no period either. I know someone who the same thing happened to and it was only when she insisted on a scan that they discovered she was 5 months pregnants. So errors can happen but if it's not pregnancy could it be ectopic as my Aunt nearly died with that? Doctors are so useless, this was the first time i have been to the doctor in 10 years I had to wait 40 minutes for that crap?

In answer to the first women, I am looking for support and how other women have dealt with difficult doctors if they had the same experience. Where do I go for a suitable doctor and so on?

PERSIST and INSIST on a blood test/ examination, or whatever it takes. Your national insurance contributions are paying for his incompetent ***! Failing that, I would play dumb and go to A&E. Even better, make an appointment at the hospital in the Early Pregnancy Assessment unit, you can have a same day, or following day appt and they will do a scan.

If you are really in pain, go to the ER or instacare in your area. Either that, or get a blood test for yourself. Most hospital labs will draw one on your request. You may need to call first and make sure you don't need an order. You can call another doctor and talk to them. There is nothing wrong with getting a second opinion.

I had this happen to me, but I was so sick that I couldn't keep anything down. They did a blood test and it came back positive, then an ultrasound was done and I found out I was 14 weeks along. It can happen. Nothing is 100% accurate.

You know your body and what is normal. If you really think something is wrong, don't hesitate to push the envelope. Keep calling your doctor, or call another one and just make an appointment. If it isn't pregnancy, they should find out what is going on. Don't give up and keep calling people!!!

Home pregnancy tests can give a false negative result, but they are up to 95% accurate so as long as you are using it correctly you should get the right answer.

How late are you? if you are really unsure ask your doctor to perform a test on you - they will be able to get an accurate result for you. Don't be fobbed off - you have the right to ask for the test if you want it.

If the pregnancy is ectopic then you will still get a positive pregnancy test, but if you are worried about this you must be properly checked out by your doctor as this is a very serious condition.

If you do not want to see your doctor try a local family planning clinic. You really need to get some definate answers before you worry yourself.

hi, my wife was in exactly the same position, she was vomittting and had missed her period three weeks previously. All pregnancy tests were negative, the test actually cam positive after 5 weeks, at such an early stage of pregnancy nothing will appear on a scan, at 5 weeks a sac in the uterus will be visible.

What you can do is take a blood test looking for a rise in hormonal levels progesterone and another one, the name i cant remember.

In our case the doctors were also useless, we even went to a gastroenterologist, who was about to flush her tummy, luckily the preganancy test was positive before that. Cannot rule out ectopic, but that should show up on a scan.

So go the doctor and ask for a blood test checking for these hormones..then take the next step...blood tests dont lie

Best of luck

In my experience home prganacy tests dont always work....lol. My advice to you is go to a clinic and request a pragnacy test, if that comes out negative then be pushy with the doctor( dont go see the same one) tell them the way your feeling, and demand a blood test, urine test and a possible ultra sound, you could have an infection and thats something not to take lightly. Take care and good luck with whatever happens.

I would say go to your local hospital. You may wait longer than 40 mins im afraid but tell them you are disatisfied with the opinion of your doctor and i'm sure they will reassure you.
Sometimes home tests dont show up as they rely on hormone strength to show positive. Every woman is different and it is possible you have weaker hormones or maybe it is just too early to tell. Main question is when was your last period? If you had one 2 months ago its probably too early to tell.

If you're three weeks late, see a new doctor. There is a chance that something is severely delaying your period, but it could be pregnancy or even some other concern. If your doctor won't even inspect you to find out why you haven't gotten your period, I'd switch doctors.

get a new dr. or go to the emergency room and get a blood test done...I would say that you are not indeed pregnant. I would assume that the dr did a urine test? Possible early onset menopause..because you said 10 years on the dr..

i have 4 children and number 5 on the way.,.......you CAN have a false negative but not a false postive so either take another test of a different brand or demand doctor to test you........you might still not be preggers but it is possible to get a false negitive wish you all teh luck xxxx
