It's estimated that most women will have a miscarriage and not even know it. If you don't have a positive test in hand, then you will never know. If you want to try, take a test while on your period. Hcg will show up in urine longer than in your blood. If it's positive, you're probably having a miscarriage, and may want to see the doctor to make sure that the miscarriage was complete (or it's possible that you're still pregnant, though this is rather uncommon). If it's negative... well, either you were never pregnant, or you stopped produce hcg long before so it won't show up. But most of the time by the time you test it'll be negative so you won't know for sure anyway.

You would have pain, while bleeding, that you never had before. It, too, would feel like you need to squeeze something out of your vagina. You, too, would be soaking up a pad or tampon in no time at all!

I had a miscarriage 10 years ago and this is what I experienced. I, too, didn't know that I was pregnant. I bled for six weeks afterwards.

When I had my miscarrage I had really bad cramps all day long, I thought I was going to die they where so bad. Then that evening I felt something weird, really kind of gross feeling and ran to the bathroom almost didn't make it. But anyways there was a large mass of tissue, blood, and blood clots. It was the worst thing that ever happened to me. You would know for sure if you had a miscarage or not.

You didn't know for sure? Well if you were and are bleeding now you probably weren't that far along and it'll pass like your having your period.
