Most of the time their dad never really sit down and LISTEN to them.... Normally as dad we like to tell them what to do.... so their feel that we don't understand them.

If a father is more honest and goes into detail, it may be clearer that to the child that the father is experienced. A father may need to be honest about their experiences.

because usually the father is the one telling teenagers what to do.. and we often think that he doesn't understand anything we're trying to say. like he doesnt know anything i guess.

Because they don't and it's just not the father it's the mother too,both of them.Like the song says parents just don't understand,I'm 17 yr. old Hispanic and my parents are very strict and too over protective.I guess no matter what race you are all parents just don't understand
