Yes, I have been on an airplane since then, more then once.
You can't spend the rest of your life wringing your hands and living in fear. What if you live to be 90 or 100 yrs old and only at the last moments do you realize that you passed up many opportunities because of a fear of the unknown.
Take normal precautions, use your common sense but do not let some ignorant freakin' terrorists decide how YOU will spend the rest of your days.

Yes, you can fly on airplanes. It's probably okay.
I am generally scared of flying, but make myself do it because my desire for travel is greater than my irrational fear of flying.

It would be difficult for anyone to get away with crashing a plane the way the 9/11 terrorists did. Passengers are much more aware of their surroundings and will be more aggressive when reacting to a situation like that.

If you're scared, just take a few pills to calm you down. Flying is much safer than driving.

Please get some help. You have post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), which is quite common.

I was 6 blocks from The Pentagon on 9/11 and it took a while for me to get back on an airplane, but what did it was this:

"The terrorists can't tell ME when to fly." "They do not control me."

Just remember that. As long as you are afraid to fly, the terrorists are getting what they want.

Good luck!!!
