Maybe in some cases yes, but not neccessarily. Women are emotional creatures and most of their actions are based on that emotional structure. men are more factual and tend to react to immediate situations or immediate life that they physically experience. Men ACT because that is what they are designed to do. Women feel and react based on what they feel. Because of major differences between men and women, they rarely cheat for the same reasons.

Men don't cheat for the same reasons. Sometimes it's to boost self esteem, prove their "manliness" or for dominance. Sometimes it's to fill a need that isn't being met. Sometimes for revenge. Sometimes out of just plain lust....
I'm sure women have many reasons too. Some the same, some different.

I don't think so. I think men cheat so they can prove that they are still attractive to the opposite sex. I think women cheat when they are lonely or not getting the closeness they need from their relationship. They find someone who pays attention and makes them feel good.

don't listen to these other people....they all have their own reasons....the fact of the matter is.....they cheat because they do not have any respect for the spouse, or significant other.....and to think that they love them....well, if they did, they wouldn't cheat.....there is nothing good about cheating, and it shows how little they should be in the relationship...anyone can come up with reasons......but they rarely will say what it truly is......disrespect and non-caring

I am sure they do. The number one reason people cheat is because they are looking for something they are not getting from their current relationship.
