I almost have an accounting degree and am still in school (part-time). I am really interested in tax preparation and am thinking about working at an H&R block in the spring. I know that you have to take their course to be able to work there, I think anyway. If anyone knows what all I need to do and how they pay or if they offer internships, and if they have any other more full-time employment available to professionals? Thanks!

You don't go there for the pay. It does, however, teach you the basics. If you have the level of education that you say, it should be an easy transition to your own firm once you graduate.

BTW H&R is very liberal about letting their clients know that you're heading off on your own.
