We are always concerned. Sadly, you don't see that because all that is shown is the negitive. The sames is maybe true about what is shown to us. No one sees the whole story. Well, God does. Let him judge us and let us just love eachother. It is the only answer that ends the madness.

Wait a second. Let's be honest. Is there oil in Lebanon? America didn't care about the citizens of Iraq. Bush was steered around like Chaney had his hand up his butt to stear him into creating a reason to go to war in Iraq. They wanted to do it right after 9/11, but Powell convinced them to go to Afghanistan first.
Chaney created an "office" to take any piece of questionable intelligence and then give it credibility it didn't deserve to use as reasons why we "needed" to go to war with Iraq. Things like nukes, the metal pipes, etc., etc. The real cause for going to war in Iraq was duel. First the oil and the money we could get from stealing from Iraq which we most certainly have done. And second for the fleecing of America thru Haliburton etc. to take taxpayer dollars. Billions of dollars are "lost" and "unaccounted for". Bush may have thought it was a noble cause and was the "right" thing to do, but he was just guided around like Chaney, Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz's puppet.
After the dust clears, the test of time and investigation will show what really happened. I knew when Powell told the UN that Iraq had mobile chemical processing trailers that is what crap. So was the nuke stuff and the metal tubes. That was in the news at the same time, you just had to look at other sources than FOX. There again I am literate, and I do read. Too bad more of America isn't afflicted with those qualities and also with a free mind not lead around by the nose by the false religion of their choice. But knowing our wonderful religious "leaders" in this country, when the truth comes out, they will cry and weep, then look into the TV camera and ask for a "good faith offering". The fact is no one cares about Lebanon. Even the arabs don't care about Lebanon and are hoping Israel weakens Hezbollah. As long as money rules America, the rest of the world is screwed, and so are we. Welcome to reality. Aint it lovely?

Maybe America is two continents.
Maybe the U.S. should get the heck out of Iraq - Bush is a moron
Maybe Israel is defending itself from Extremists that have fired missiles and kidnapped Israeli citizens. (Hezbolah is getting what it deserved)
Maybe Iraqi's should be more concerned about not killing their own people. (They're killing each other at a rate of over 100 a day over the past month)
Maybe Lebanon needs to use it's own military to eliminate Hezbolahs control of the southern region.
Absolutely true - The U.S. needs to stay the hell out of middle eastern affairs. Those people are crazy religious fanatic killers over there that fear each other and are blinded by their ignorant faiths.
Maybe the U.S. should help the middle east get an education that has no influence from any religion what so ever. That way the middle east will start to learn truths - science - knowledge - testable repeatable observations - and free themselves from the ignorant dark age religious fears that cause war and destruction.

The United States is very concerned for civilians and takes great measures to protect them. However when terrorists hide amongst innocent people it is the responsibility of those civilians to get out of harms way.
The United States often pays families restitution if their loved ones are accidentally killed. The United States goes in and rebuilds neighborhoods where they have been destroyed.
The United States works hard to bring Nations back to prosperity and to a peaceful existence.
The people of Iraq are grateful for the removal of an evil dictator who kills his own people.
God Bless the U.S.A.
The American people are a loving and gentle nation. We care about the world. We want a peaceful world.

You have accurately pointed out a glaring inconsistency in American foreign policy. It is somewhat incongruous that the US would feign compassion for the people suffering in Lebanon, but display no regard whatever to all the Iraqi civilians injured or killed by US forces in Iraq. Perhaps this is because the appearance of compassion makes the administration appear kind, perhaps even "kind" enough to attack whoever is next on the list of "eebil duas." On the other hand, by showing compassion to Iraqis, the administration might appear to be admitting guilt...and there is no evidence to suggest that they are even willing to admit error.

Understand that America is not really not being run by it's people anymore.
However, we do have elections to pacify us and make us think that we are particpating in a free democratic society. Most of the candidates for political office here, are only elected because they are the lesser of 2 evils, NOT because they are the best person for the job.
Our country is being run by greedy politicans in Washington, who are waging war under the guise of trying to free oppressed people in the Middle East. The truth is...all they really care about is the oil. These politicians may be speaking for us, but what they say does not necessarily represent the true feelings or opinions of many Americans.
Many of us are sick of war and want it to end...NOW.
We want our soldiers to stop coming home in body bags.
We want them to come home to their families and their lives again...alive and well.
My personal belief is, that no matter who we are or where we are from, we should care about any and all innocent people, regardless of race, country, or creed who die in wars motivated by greed.
PS- I agree pretty much with the comments after mine...by Nothing left.

We didnt sent pilots in with the mission, bomb anything that looks fun, we used precision, stealth bombers that could put a bomb through a bedroom window against strategic targets. About hezbollah, what do you think their rockets do, completely ignore civilians? I dont think that we meant to kill civilians anymore than the terrorists in Lebanon are waging a conventional war against Israel. And stop complaining about spelling, theres a war going on.

People are so blinded by patriotism, they don't even know what the invasion of Iraq was about. The government told them it was for freedom... I call bullsh*t.
If you're the former president that used to be friends with the leader of Iraq, and he tries to assassinate you... what do you do? You get your son elected president and go in there to finish the job you started. Revenge is the name of the game, not to mention massive profits for your buddies. Get a clue people!

The American people are a very compassionate people. We want all Nations to co-exist peacefully. Any human loss is a tragedy.
It is a shame that some uneducated people are taught to hate at an early age. This hate will be the downfall of the whole world.
Peace!
