There is nothing in "Scripture" that opposes a man having more than one wife. Even Paul's prohibition stated that a pastor SHOULD have only one wife (not must) because if he had more, he would be too busy with family to care for the congregation. The prohibition was never extended in the Old or New Testament to laymen. Period.
Monogomy is a Roman, pagan tradition, not a Judeo-Christian one. The Church ignores this little tidbit of history, and rationalizes their theology with verses that don't apply, generalisms, etc.

Ask the women. After all relationships are based on a man and a woman.

Or put it this way, do you like the idea of a woman having many husbands?

God made woman for man, who he made clear that man had the will to choose good from evil and he choose evil with the help of a woman. So, the fact that he gave man a choice, and he choose the wrong one let's you know that he made his bed which he has to lie in continuously. He don't want to do right.

I couldn't handle more than one wife, I would loose my mind, this would create more problems than it would solve.
