2(x-3) -3(x+5) = 3(x-2) -7
by multiplipyin the terms within bracket,we get,
(2x-6) -(3x+15) = 3x -6 -7
2x -6 -3x -15 = 3x -13
2x -3x -6 -15 = 3x -13
-1x -21 = 3x -13
by clubing the x terms in LHS and numeric in the RHS, we get,
-1x -3x = -13 +21
-4x = 8
-x = 8/4
-x = 2
x = -2

2(x-3)-3(x+5)=3(x-2)-7 firstly removing the brackets
2x-6-3x-15=3x-6-7 now transposing and grouping the like terms
2x-3x-3x=-6-7+15+6 now simplifying
-4x=8 therefore x=8/-4=>-2

hi, different mistakes which includes your artwork i'm afraid. Step a million) sixty six + 6 is seventy 2, no longer 70, yet you easily favor to subtract 6 from both area 3x = 60 Step 2) Divide 3 is sweet, yet 70/3 isn't 12, yet 60/3 = 20 as required

2(x-3) - 3(x+5) = 3 (x-2) -7

1) distribute

2x-6-3x-15 = 3x-6-7

2) combine like terms

-x-21 = 3x-13

3) move X to one side

-21 = 4x-13

4) solve for X

-8 = 4x

x= -2

then if you want you can plug in the answer to see if its right which it is btw

Algebra can be a difficult subject but like everything else it just takes practise. Studying the basics is always a great way to start. The above problem can only be solved if we know what x is. What is x is always your first question. You take the problem and you substitute what x is into the problem. Do each problem starting from the beginning first.
