how old are you? i am 20, and even a year back my parents were not ready to let me go anywhere alone. its just that parents are more concerned about their daughters' safety. just try to build the faith in them that you are matured enough to take care of yourself, introduce your friends to your parents so that they can trust them also. let your parents meet the parents of your friends.

it'll certainly take some time, but i'm sure you'll succeed. best of luck!

HMMMMMMMM they say no huh????? I would say it depends on where u r wanting to go and how old you are! My son is 15 going on 16 and he has quite a bit of freedom. As long as I know where he is going and with whom- he takes his cell phone and checks in every so often! Ask your parents if you can go with a GROUP OF FRIENDS that might chabge their mind They r just trying to protect you! They are being parents! lol
