gonzo... I feel your pain and totally agree. I heard Clinton gave Bush the heads up about 9/11 as he was leaving office and obviously Bush ignored it. How the hell did Bush convince us Sadam was our #1 enemy months after Bin Laden showed us his capabilities? Tell me that wasn't a propaganda campeign.

People don't have a problem admitting that propaganda exists in other countries.... Sooooooooo, If you read the question you might've realized it is American propaganda I'm addressing and not other countries...
Besides that it's funny that you think you're privy to my heros, when I've given no indication in this question exactly how "democratic" I am. And then you end with a moot point.... gotta love ya jack

I believe America has entered the Golden Age of Propaganda.

The worst president in history got elected (allegedly) twice. That's all I need to know right there.

In this country, with the right public relations team, Beelzebub could be Time Magazine's Man of the Year, President, and probably win a Nobel Peace Prize, too. And all he'd have to do is call the democratic candidate a "waffler."

Propaganda DEFINITELY exists in this country and under Bush it has been getting worse. I have a hard time believing everything I hear from the federal government -- or at the least I need to take everything I hear with a pretty good sized grain of salt.

People aren't willing to think -- or capable of thinking -- for themselves and the news cycles turn so quickly that those that are so inclined find it difficult to do so. Thus when the government releases news they want to make sure they include the analysis in with the story. For people that can't think for themselves, the story ends up becoming their opinion, and this is truly what propaganda is. For those that can think for themselves, this is distracting and, unfortunately, a tempting shortcut to forming an opinion.

Of course propaganda exists. Much of the media(especially the printed version) is slanted one way or another, but it's usually either conservative or liberal.
To believe everything the President and government officials say? It would take a very foolish and easily led person to go that far.

So you think it is only the president or government officials that spread propaganda? What about the Islamic clerics in their mosques? Is it possible they are spreading some? What about your heros like michael moore? What about the media? What about your fav stars? What about musicians nowadays?

My point is, ur being bombarded everyday and every direction by propaganda. Its high time you learned it.

Every government and every country has propaganda. Of course there is propaganda thrown at us every day from the president and other government officials. There is no way that we can actually believe everything they tell us.

Of course it still exists. The only difference is, now the propagandists are referred to as spin doctors. And I'm not sure we can even trust 1/2 of what the government says. They're not going to tell us they made a mistake, if they can avoid it--look how they avoided telling us that there really weren't any new weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

LOL, you need to commence taking those pills the final practitioner prescribed you. you're borderline delusional. us of a of america did not free the international, it replaced into pressured to enter WW2 because the eastern attacked them and Germany declared warfare. It did not enter the warfare to free theJews, the folk left out the Jews from 1933 to 1945, even as they then declared they freed them - despicable rewriting of history. do not rewrite history! the U. S. is the Imperialist because the 1920 with great use of guns and everlasting threats of nuclear warfare, and purely in the near previous the empire began to fall down (as all empires do). Now it really is China and India's turn. You adult males are history.
