are there any free people search engines out there. i keep running into intellos background checks but i'm weary to put money into something i can't trust. hav eyou used this site, how did it work for you. are there free site to use, need help. do you know a better place for me to post this question on yahoo answers; i couldn't find anything better.

Try familysearch.org. It's completely free. I was able to find my deceased grandmother's SSN, which is very useful from a genealog perspective. You may have some luck finding people around today. Try also doing a search on sites like Myspace. Everyone seems to have a profile now.

I actually did this. DON'T pay them any money. When you enter all the information, there is small little writing at the bottom that says they aren't guranteeing that the information they give you is even still valid. The best way, I found and I know it sounds weird is to go to MySpace. I found a guy that I hadn't seen in like 10 yrs on Myspace is pretty cool....

I always run into that too. A lady at work paid for those and all she got was information that is available in the phone book. I can't tell you where to go to find a free one, I can only tell you: DON'T PAY!! It's a rip off.

I think you have to pay something no matter where you go to find info on someone. Everybody's out to make a buck.
