Since there is no actual workplace, where do I put I worked? Does this go under employment or other activites? I figure this will help in any jobs that requires presentations or communications.

I would just put down some of the cities and venues that you performed. I would put it under employment since you were paid. I think it would definitely add to your resume since most people were not comedians. Good luck.

Good question. Maybe state that you were in the entertainment business and you had many different venues that you performed at. Name a few of the regular places (if there were any). I think most employers will understand that you really were self-employed.

If you were paid, that makes you a professional comedian. You would say that you worked as a professional comedian between this date and this date, then list the places you worked--comedy clubs, parties, conventions, whatever.

You could describe your job as an "independent entertainer." If they ask where, mention that you traveled to different venues. Since you got paid for it, put it with the rest of your jobs.

You could put this under hobbies or special interest categories.
