I would create a meta-law (just like so many that are created now and that have those cute names). This is so it could have several related parts. It would be called the "No Citizen Left Behind" law.
Part 1: Every element of elections must be publicly funded. No activity, function, or product of a municipal, county, state, or federal election may be funded by any commercial, private, or non-government entity. Everything is funded by a designated government entity: the advertising, the trips, the voting, the counting
Part 2: A percentage of all federal taxes will be placed in reserve for this purpose.
Part 3: A federal agency will be created to manage this activity; it shall be called the Department of Voting.
Part 4: Specific amounts shall be designated to be spent for particular types of elections; amounts will be determined by Congress
Part 5: Money will be provided to all candidates in equal amounts; money will be provided to election officials to conduct the voting process in set amounts.
Part 6: The radio and television airwaves are public property; as such, all radio and television stations must provide a specific, designated, and equal amount of air time for political advertising during an election cycle.
Part 7: The type and amounts of air time will be designated by Congress.
Part 8: The duration, start dates, and end dates of an "election cycle" will be determined by legislation; no election activities by candidates may take place outside of the designated election cycle.
Part 9: The voting process will take place in exactly the same way for all elections and will always have a paper trail for voting records and sufficient time for counting all votes.
Part 10: No candidate may use any funds other than those provided by this process; no candidate may use their own money for this purpose; no candidate may use any other private or other funds to conduct their candidacy.

The absolute flat tax
This way ALL citizens and businesses would be taxed on the exact same rate without all of this song and dance---smoke and mirror crap that goes on that gives the very very wealthy and the largest of corporations and organizations an unbelievable edge on every one when it comes to the rates by which they figure their "fair" share
A flat tax would mean that you would have the same rate of income taxes if you made 10,000 a year or 10 million a year---it is the only truly fair taxation ---and it's been talked to death in Washington for years---but the big boy lobbist get their big fat pay checks from their big fat companies and corporate big boys and they go to war---soon --it goes back in the drawer and is forgotten

I would make it a law that lawsuits would continue to be permitted but the most anyone could be sued for is $50 and the lawyer's fee would have to come out of that..

My one law would require civil service for two years when you turn 18. That service could be military, a peace corps-type government program, or something similar. I would have appreciated it at 18, though I'm sure most kids wouldn't like it. I think it would help people to become more responsible and to learn discipline, respect for themselves and other & how to be more independent. It would be mandatory, so wealthy people would not be able to get their kids out of their duty. After the two years of service, there would be government aid available similar to a GI Bill for two years of college.

Laws are one thing and getting people to obey them quite another, however, I would make it a law to not make anymore laws 'cause there are to many already.

A Constitutional Amendment to completely overhaul the definition of the Commerce Clause, limiting it to the means and instrumentalities of commerce; leave the rest to the states.

I would implement that there be one universal definition (for the society as a whole, for countries and counties) of as many things as possible in this society.
Also i'd like kids to be able to go back to being able to be kids.

I would make it illegal to receive free health care from medicaid for more than one child. If you can't afford them, don't have them or get a job. I know people who have 2 or 3 kids, Dad lives with them, they drive a Navigator and all the kids have the same last name. Helloooo USAAAAA She is obviously with the DADDY!! We are so stupid!

That idiotic lawsuits about stupid little things aren't allowed. Lawsuits like suing a store because you tripped over you own child in there, or suing a resturant because you threw coffee, then later slipped on it.
