Most brands will work -- maybe it's your razor. Shaving cream for men tend to be cheaper so if you can do without the frilly scents buy whats cheaper.

I don't use shaving creams, but, my daughter uses one that she loves, it starts out as a gel and foams up, does a great job, leaves no irritation, sorry don't know the name brand, but I'm sure you can find it by asking for help from a store worker.

I use Olay body wash with Shea Butter. Back of the bottle recommends you use it as a shaving cream. Also leaves my skin smooth and no irritation at all.
