Is there something I can dial that will let me make a phone call anonymously from my cell phone?

*67 works against caller ID, but if you're really planning to do something illegal or really annoying (to the point where the phone company would be called), be aware there's another service called ANI (Automated Number identification) that won't be blocked. Try dialing *67,1-800-692-6447. It will still read back your number to you.

If you want to make a completely anonymous call, one of the few ways (other than *67 from a pay phone with no security cameras) is to buy a prepaid phone under a false name.

*67 before the number. Never fails.

You can test Per Call Blocking by trying it out on 800/562-5588. (If blocking is not working, you will get some repair service.)

Hope this helps!

Hit *67, and when you call it should say Private Number.

* means the star button.
