Offer free (or charge a very small fee) for 5 or 10 minute backrubs at street fairs, county fairs, etc. Some people actually go to cafeterias in office buildings and offer same to workers on their lunch breaks. Go up to them and even if they decline, give them your business card.

Try asking your school for a reference of placement.
Go to a spa or salon and apply.
Word of mouth is best.... you can be more selective of the type of clients you want to cater to.
