The Rapture Right has created Jesus in their image, they have not created their image in Jesus', which is sad. So, President Bush does embody "Christian values," just not those held by true Christians. His Christianity means to lie, to hate the sin and the sinner, to amend the law of the land to make discrimination legal and required (I think he may have got this from true Christians giving to Caesar what is Caesar's and giving to God what is God's. By making it required to not allow people the right to marriage is giving to Caesar what is Caesar's in a sick, twisted way.), to take an eye and an ear and a foot and an arm and a tongue and a bellybutton, etc. for an eye and to make fun of the blind instead of to heal them.

i am sure most christian don't follow their christian values to the book......because we are human and we all make mistakes....it is very hard to follow christian ethics. we are tempted to sin everyday and this is why it makes it hard to follow them.
comparing the president's christian values vs. a regular person's christian values. the only difference i can think of is that the president has more power to make decisions and these decision are on a large scale and affect the entire nation. when the president makes a decision, it is all over the news.
when a regular person makes a decision; it can go unnoticed to the public unless its a big crime of some sort. never the less, a person with christian values can be temped to cheat, lie and disobey, we do it on a daily basis and you think these behaviors are in good standing with christian values? i don't think so..
we are only human we all make mistakes... i am sure if you or I were the president we would be judge the same as Mr Bush.

Bush has no values....leave alone Christian values. He is an unscrupulous person who just manipulates his way every where. He doesn't think either the people in his own country or the rest of the world. He is just another "As@ H#$%" who is only interested in own selfish goals.

Catholics are the unique Christians. the 1st church, which Christ started grew to become into the Catholic church. For the 1st thousand years, there grew to become into in simple terms one Christian Church. In 1054, it split into 2 branches, the jap Orthodox Catholic Church and the Roman Catholic Church. there have been in elementary terms 2 Christian branches for yet another 500 years. In 1518, Martin Luther started a third branch, Protestantism. The third branch splintered into many denominations. you're probable recognizing that Catholics are actually not Protestants. the unique Christian Church continues to be Catholic. The Amish is between the various Protestant denominations. Jehovah Witnesses are actually not a Protestant denomination yet an offshoot of Christianity as a results of fact they suspect Jesus is the angel Michael and not the Son of God.

Well, he claims he talks to God every day and that God answers him. Of course, that's the sign of a paranoid-schizophrenic. Maybe the so-called Christian values have changed and theft and lying are now part of what their religious leaders teach.

Values are individual, they may start out in a belief system of some sort, but in the end we make them our own. Then we justify our behavior my claiming our values are the belief system.
One of things that makes us human is our ability to rationalize whatever we want to do.

Well, he says he's a United Methodist (my religion), but I doubt that, too. He used to drink a lot and we're not supposed to do things like that in excess. We are also supposed to care about our "neighbor". That would be everyone in this country he's supposed to be representing....not the handful of people he's actually representing.
