I Once had a student suggest to me that we should tie up all the captured terrorists we have in custody and tie them to the george washington memorial. Then anyone in america can pay acertain amount of money to punch any given terrorist. I think this is a bad idea and that terrorists should be tried in a court of law. But i am still curious as to what others might say. Which would you choose or what would you suggest???

Let me clarify that i do not beleive in the harming or tying up of terrorist, i was just confronted with the idea and want your imput.

so you are talking actual terrorists, not everyone we are fighting against? because the former group is MUCH smaller.
We should keep tabs on everyone who has gone to the school of the americas in fort benning, georgia...many of the nastiest people got their training there.
we use spys to infiltrate the terrorist operations, and then when they are planning to do something, we arrest them all and put them on trial. the guilty ones will do hard time and the ones who have actually killed people will probably get the death penalty.
Just how it has always been done by every nation until recently by BushJr where he likes to use words wrongly and make up new ones.
It is bizarre to hear him say that osama is no longer an a priority but iraq is responsible?

Since terror seems to center around religion we should arm them with the book of thier choice. We should then get a christian armed with a bible. The two opposeing philosophies will stand faceing each other and beat each other with thier respective holy book.
This will hopefully beat some sense into religious nuts on both sides of the Atlantic and make for some exciting tv and add a whole new dimension to competitive sports. Think of the ratings Pat Robertson with a King James vs. Osama with a Koran.
