Yes, for many reasons:
1. The nationals need good, young players
2. His contract ends at the end of the year
3. The Nats can't afford to re-sign him.

He is a great player that the Nationals will not be able to afford to re-sign, so they should trade him and get back something in return. There is always a market for a guy that plays second base and the outfield and hits for .300 and 35 homers every year. I can not think of a team that would not love to have that bta in their lineup.

I CERTAINLY HOPE THEY DON'T TRADE HIM. NOW THAT THEY RIPPED OFF THE REDS IN THAT TRADE THEIR LINE-UP (WHEN GUILLEN GETS BACK) IS EXCELLENT.
1. soriano
2. vidro
3. zimmerman
4. johnson
5. kearns
6. guillen
7. lopez
8. schneider
9. pitcher
but honestly if they got maybe a stud pitching prospect like a philip (spelled with one l) hughes or a couple of good pitchers maybe from the twins, like anthony swarzak, or glen perkins, scott baker, boof bonser, matt garza, maybe an injured jay rainville as a throw in, then i'd say yes, because he may not be resigned if he stays.
to the idiot below me------- soriano is a right handed hitter not a left hander as you claim....learn about baseball before you say foolish things.

soriano is good and deserves to be on a team in the playoff race. the nationals are out of it and should trade him.

I think he will get traded. He would rather play on a contender and his contract is somewhat affordable. He can play in two positions and he is a very gott left handed bat.

Yes, he should be traded for a better player, if possible.

Yes because if you let his contract expire at the end of the season you get nothing.

He is going to be a free agent soon so why not ? Washington isn't going to pay him what he is asking for so why not get something for him?
