Well, how old are you? If you have finished high school, take some general courses at college or university to see what you like. Instead of saying "I want to be a ......", try asking yourself what you like to Do. Where I live, kids in high school have to do volunteer hours and can do placements in businesses to help them find their direction. See if you can find something that you feel really passionate about. Don't worry. I didn't find my true calling until I was 38 (by accident). But I worked at different things until that time came.

If you could create your perfect idea of a job, what would it be? Now break it all down and see what parts you can actually study/train for. I always thought I wanted to be a vet when I was younger. But there are so many other careers in that kind of area that might be better for you, i.e: consersvationist, wildlife rehabilitator, zoo keeper.

In your spare time take out time for you to be alone and soul search. Figure out what really interests you, what you can see yourself doing for the rest of your life. If you don't like your profession it will reflect in other parts of your life, and contrary to popular belief it is normal to change interests multiple times throughout life. Try it out and contact me with the results.

Are you in highschool? Ask your guidance counsellor for one of those tests that help you decide what would suit you best. They're really helpful.
