It's hard to get rid of cigarette smoke. The first thing to do is not let anyone smoke in your truck. It would be a good ideal for you to stop smoking. One fast way is to spray it with alcohol. The cigarette smoke smell is cause be bacteria and the alcohol will kill the bacteria. You need to have the inside of your truck steam cleaned by professionals. I usually get a detail for my vehicle. Which coves the whole truck including the engine. When you do get this done make sure that the both of you under stand what is done. Ask questions so they and you will know what is going to be done. Now go and get that alcohol & spray it on your vinyl seats. Don't drink it . I think rubbing alcohol will work.

The question is kinda weird. Do you mean some kind of stain or is it old smoke odor?

If it an all over stain, then it is probably an accumulation of smoke, plastic outgassing from the vinyl itself, and good old fashioned sweat, grease and oil from the people sitting in the truck. Any commercial vinyl cleaner should do it. Most auto parts stores will sell it. If you get Armor All, read the label to make sure it is proper to use on your seats. (don't get the one for your tires)

If it's the old smoke odor, then it is probably from all surfaces of the interior, including the carpet on the floor. You may have to take a good degreasing detergent cleaner to your cab's interior, window cleaner for the glass, and a carpet cleaner for the floor.

If you are the smoker, then you will have to do this again soon.

The best way to remove smoke residue from your vinyl seats is 1/4 cup sunlight dish soap in a 1/2 gallon of warm water. After washing rinse really well and dry, then use armor-all vinyl protector for your vinyl seats.

If the odor is in the seats wipe them down with white vinegar and let a dish of white vinegar sit in the truck overnight...it might smell like a pickle for a few days but the smoke odor will be gone..also you can let the truck lit outside in the sun with the windows open. The sun is a natural deodorizer.

To completely remove the vinyl caused by cigarette smoking simply change the seats and if you or your friends do smoke, then it is advisable to stop with immediate effect not to spoil your effort done so far.

Believe it or not--if you put vanilla extract in a spray bottle, and mist the seats, carpets, and all panels, it will solve this problem--plus give your truck a nice scent!!
Be sure and use a damp cloth on the vinyl after the vanilla has been sprayed on, and had time to get into the pores, otherwise it might be slightly sticky.

You can steam-clean the seats with an upholstery attachment if you have the energy. I like to use Fabreez. It does help a lot. My home is smoked in, and my nonsmoking friends have commented that they were impressed at the fact it doesn't smell like it. I also enjoy using auto expressions, fresh air freshener in our vehicles (it is a pump spray). I bought it at Walmart, but I'm sure it is sold other places too. Good luck!

some VERY GOOD answers here. i agree with just about everyone here. i tend to lean towards the Febreeze side myself. im a smoker myself, but dont smoke in my truck. but i can smell it on my clothes. what a filthy habit! i gotta give it up. im to young to die. but the world situation right now, i think every living thing on the planet is soon to die. hopefully the meek shall inherit the earth. but thats off the subject. try Febreeze of any or the other greats answers here. i learned a lot from them.
Good luck!

Ammonia is the best deodorizer you can get, and its cheap! You can buy the lemon scent if the regular is too strong for you, use about 1/2 Cup to a gallon of water. Its great for wall washing indoors, and for your laundry, use one cup in your wash and your socks will smell like new !!! ( remember that one for your husbands' socks ladies!! )
Those new fabric fresheners are all based with Ammonia, by the way.
