It's a GE 27" oven; the old one is 24". Do I need a carpenter AND an electrician?

Call a local cabinet shop. Your cabinets will have to be modified or rebuilt for the new oven. The electrical hook-up is generally the same.

I would call an electrician for advice just ask what he thinks then hang up and call 3-4 more so you do not get scammed
If you do not feel you can install it yourself I would call a carpenter to install it
again I would call several and get estimates the get them in writing

where are you located.....and yes...you need a kitchen cabinet maker and an electrician to connect your oven....

at least a carpenter...the wiring should hook up the same but if you cant do it hire one
