I am assuming your his girlfriend? Plan a romantic camping trip (as wierd as that may sound). Do everything yourself. Pack up the tent, food, and all the other essentials. Bring some champagne and smores. Get him a small present like a gift card to his favorite outdoor supply store. Also, get some gifts you can use together;)

Well, if he is into any type of hunting or fishing, get him tackle or gear. If he is into more hiking, try to find him some hiking boots or clothes to hike in. If he spends a lot of time outdoors and hikes, or if it is hot there, look for a hydration pack. Like you see those camel-packs that hold water in a little backpack looking thing with a tube for the straw. If none of these help, go to a local sports store, and just look around and see if you can find what type of stuff he would like; and if all else fails, get him a gift certificate to Dick's, or Gander Mountain, or some similar place so he can pick out what he wants.

Any kind of sporting goods. Try a gift certificate to Scheels or Cabella's or Gander Mountain. Any outdoor store would be great.

A camping trip, a hiking trip, or something he could use outdoors, a watch, a canteen, a good jacket, a compass, a pocket knife (like the one from macgyver, full of handy options...
If it was me I probably would give him a really handy macgyver Swiss knife with a clock and compass... I think he would love it.

Depend what he likes outdoor. There is this place called "Bass Pro Shop" that has hunting, fishing,and more, where you can get him a gift card from.

Go to Bass Pro Shop. It is a huge sporting store and has just about everything. Camping stuff, hunting, boating, clothing etc. I love going there. Even if you get him a gift certificate so he can go get something, I guarantee he will find something.
