This is a hard one for me I believe that life starts at conception. But I have a son that is disabled with a ban on stem cell research there will never be a cure for his spinaibifida. But at the end there is only one thing that matters and that is the separation between church and state. If my kids can't pray in school than the pres has no right to bring religious reasoning into the oval office. We can not have the ten commandments in front of a court house then they should not be in the white house.
Now I'm not against the pres having religious beliefs I am just against him bringing them into his work.
To conclude.
If a parent wants to donate an embryo or it is obtained by consent of the parents than it should not be an issue for the nation. We really need to start worrying about things that we can fix now like hunger and homelessness here in America in our streets. Let doctors and scientists do what they can to fix the rest.

I think stem cell research on already destroyed embryos might be alright but I think there is a time limit on when they are actually viable for thr research intended right? I vehemently oppose the destruction of human embryos. I am uncomfortable with the connection between those who use abortion as a business and the harvesting of discarded babies for stem cell research. It has already been shown that adult stem cells have everything needed for the purposes that stem cells hold in medical cures and advancement.

It is not murder, because the cells we are talking about are from frozen embryos that have not even been implanted in a woman's uterus, and therefore have no chance of ever becoming anything close to a human being, unless someone did decide to try to implant them, and the uterus did not reject them. They are cells that people were going to discard if they are not used for research, and people have every right to discard them, because people cannot be forced to implant embryos into themselves or anyone else. The question is not whether they are alive--sperm and egg are also alive and we have no duty to try to mate every sperm with an egg. The question is whether these collections of cells are human beings. Clearly, although these embryos might have the potential of growing into human beings, they have no chance of doing so without a number of extraordinary things happening, and they have no human attributes whatsoever. They are a bunch of cells that you can only see with a microscope. But Bush decided that it is better to destroy these embryos than to use them for research that could save lives. Throwing these embryos in the trash (which IS what Bush decided should be done with these embryos) seems closer to murder to me than allowing their use for research.

Embryonic tem cells are taken from microscopic embryos created in a petri dish by infertile couples. After infertility treatments, a couple can either discard the excess embryos or donate them for research to help others. The veto means that it is better to throw these embryos away in to trash cans then to help researchers develop cures for diseases. I feel it is a shame when the opinions of the majority of the Americans (70%+) do not count.
The bill was not going to allow funding for aborted fetuses. It was going to allow research funding only for those in vitro embryos, that would otherwise be discarded. The logic that it is better for the embryos to go to trash than to help cure people will never make sense.

Ok, time for reality.

It's not murder, and they will NEVER become a human being, no matter what. It is genetic material that is being thrown away. The decision to throw the material away has already been made.

It is not legal to get pregnant to donate material for this research.

The question is simply whether or not to throw it away, or use it in research. The genetic material is non-viable, and will not become a human, even if it isn't used for research. It will be thrown away.

Stem cell research is much more than taking cells from destroyed embryos, the bottom line is about saving life for people.

He is not banning stem cell research, just tax paying money toward it. Private money can do it. This doesn't mean I am for Bush.

Bush is stifling science in the name of religion to court religious voters and to keep them loyal to the Republican party. Much the same way that scientists were stifled by the Roman Catholic Church in Galileo's time.

He is running onthis "theory" that the poor and indigent will get pregnant and abort the fetuses to make money from their donation to stem cell research.

But he has no qualms in sending adult soldiers into Iraq to get killed.

The Republican Approach is simple:

If you're pre-born, you're protected.
If you're pre-school, you're screwed.

Abortion may be criminal besides the undeniable fact that that is incorrect and evil and outright homicide to an harmless unborn baby. think of roughly it that baby will by no skill see daylight hours or laugh or holiday a bike or savor having friends or be conscious of the affection of a determine. This unborn baby will by no skill be conscious of the failings that we take with none attention in our extensive-unfold lifes. Plus that baby is torn to products for the duration of the abortion it somewhat is doubtless considered one of the methods it somewhat is killed ripped limb from limb. So for this reason i think of stem cellular examine is incorrect additionally. after all you have already brought about the unborn toddler plenty misery and discomfort and introduced that is life from it so a minimum of bypass away their unfavourable our bodies on my own. Abortion and Stem cellular examine are only yet another considered one of mankind's vile and cruel and evil issues. I pray that God could have mercy on all of people who get abortions and function had abortions. i'm happy that those unfavourable infants will stay with him and heaven constantly. i will no longer make it there myself who knows yet a minimum of they could. only so which you be conscious of no baby is an twist of fate all of them come right here with a purpose yet some by no skill have the possibility to fulfill there purpose as a results of cruelty of mankind. sooner or later it is going to come to bypass that we are going to could desire to account for the failings we've achieved and on condition that we are rather sorry and regretful for those issues can we be forgiven. i be conscious of that there are some who will see this in any different case than me alongside with atheist and human beings of non-christian or perhaps some christian religions yet it somewhat is advantageous interior the tip of time it may come to bypass that what i think is incorrect yet i do no longer care as a results of fact i'm happy for now. properly there you have my opinion.
