Ofcourse its a Sanskrit proverb....but still works fine even in this fast-paced era. It seems marriages really fiexed in heaven (barring few which are known as "love marriages") and held at earth.

Even though the Bible does speak about marriage, it is quite clear in the New Testament that a marriage is not valid in heaven. In heaven we will just be a loving a close family with Jesus at the head. We will not think the same way we think now, it will be a difference that is hard to explain because we have not experienced it here in earth.

this could be more of a metaphor for the karmic connections people have through different lifetimes. hetero, gay or bi. its all the same. something divine and unseen moves us toward those we love and how we love them. something which cannot be determined by religion or ignorant ideas perpetuated by organized religion.

I suppose; it's sort of akin to saying we have (a) soulmate(s). It definitely does not state ONE marriage only, so it doesn't exclude remarriages due to divorce or death.
