If God chose Bush, its time to hold an election for a new God! But, Shrub does say he talks to God every day and that God answers back (paranoid schizophrenia), so maybe that was just something God told him to make him feel good. Or, then again, maybe after all these years, God is finally losing it.

I know a lot of conservative Christians, and NONE of them like Bush as president. Believe it or not, most conservative Christians (with the exception of those in the southern states) do not agree with war or violence. Bush has mis-quoted the Bible on numerous occasions, and most of the time he is quoting the old testament (e.g. "an eye for an eye" is actually " *no more than* an eye for an eye or a tooth for a tooth") Jesus would never condone the massacres he (Bush) is leading.
EDIT: you want to know who CHOSE Bush as leader? The Americans who voted for him. You are all responsible.

I have never said that God chose President Bush and he doesn't speak for me religiously at all. I don't even like all of his policies. But I can see where it is much easier for you to call God retarded than it is for you to come up with an original idea or solution so just keep spouting your mindless garbage and I will keep thinking you are an idiot.

So yo don't believe in God. Do you believe in Christmas, do you celebrate it? Or are you just a hypocrite that goes with whatever someone else says
The fact that some conservative Christians believe that doesn't allow them to speak for me. They speak for themselves, just like you did with your question
As for the the hippy thing. To assume that there is no God, with the proof all around you that there is, takes alot of courage, or stupidity. But, it's your life, eternal you must answer for it.

I think we should all feel good about the fact that we live in a country that doesn't let a thing like IQ or bad grammer limit anyone from achieving their dreams- however delusional they may be. We have achieved the ultimate in affirmative action. I mean come on, a peanut farmer, a b-list actor, we have a strong tradition. Dan Quale anybody?

I'm a conservative Christian, and your question is nothing but blasphemy and inflammatory. I don't think that he is chosen by God, but I do feel he loves the Lord, and tries to do what is best.
Honestly, in today's world, what could be done, short of war to make things any different. And, we DON'T want to go there.
And, your attitude toward God is scary at best.

The current air of conservatism scares me. Isn't there supposed to be a separation of church and state? This whole country is just screwed right now. All of our freedoms as citizens are being limited or taken away. Our forefathers would, if in this time period, have taken part in a coup de tat and wiped this administration clean.
Viva la Revolution!
As for people who tell those with different points of view to leave the country, I say how dare you? This country, at one time advocated freedom of speech. You are allowed to have your own point of view and religious freedom. I say to those demanding that we leave because we don't like it, leave because you don't agree with what your country stands for. And without any knowledge or understanding of its inception, you blindly defend it?

The problem isn't with God, if there is one. It's with conservative Christians.
