Good idea but I fear its been done in safari catalogs as a complete package of dress, T-shirt and shorts. What you must do is take some marketing and advertisng classes, work in a store or industry that interests you, become an expert i.e. skateboards, home furnishings, automotive, etc. When you get your foot in the door, one of your ideas will catch the eye of the powers that be. Your idea of cross marketing of the dress in IKEA is a good one. Keep at it, and good luck.

Marketing can sell anything to anybody even if it doesn't have any value. If you think you can sell anything to anybody, marketing is the right profession for you. Because no matter what ever billion dollar ideas one may have and create a product which is worth millions, if there is no body to market, it is a waste.

I'm sure it would be fantastic for all those bachelors out there. Not.
In reference to your question. The answer is no, not yet.
Why?
Because, if you have to ask that question then you are not ready.
When you say "I am going to take up marketing". Then you may be ready, because marketing is all about Buyers and Sellers. You will not succeed until you are sure of what you want to do.

Probably not, and probably not.
What size and style would the dress be?
If it was a nice one, would it cost more than the wardrobe?
Back to the drawing board with that one?
