Darya's in Costa Mesa, CA, I used to love Birrapiretti's at the South Coast Plaza, great food and hot looking bartenders, and the Bellini was my favorite drink there, but now it's gone:(
the funnest place to eat,is the rain forest cafe or denny's at two am a bunch of drunk people conversing across the booths and having to point out pictures of what they want to eat like children ,cause they are to wasted to read ,is most amusing

Fogo de Chao in Chicago, though there are other locations also. There are other places similar, but different in name. It's a Brazilian Steahouse and it's really more like an all you can eat meat buffet with about a dozen different kind of meat to choose from.. Top sirloin, bottom sirloin, porkchops, chicken, veal, Filet mignon, etc... To die for, if you're a meat lover! Bring your wallet!

The Friendly Toast in Portsmouth, NH. Nowhere else like it.

food: excellent
selection: unusual (a special last time I was there: Salmon Scramble-- scrambled eggs, salmon, cilantro, brie, and more)
portions: huge
prices: reasonable
atmosphere: bizarre (think 1950's acid flashback)
service: slightly surly
overall dining experience: one-of-a-kind
