Competition is and Always has been the very Fabric of our society. to say that competition is leading to the destruction of the fabric of our society is wrong. there are numerous example to support my view. have you ever been to an AYSO soccer game? the kids are told that winning does not matter. only the mediocre will still be left after a few seasons. the desire to be better at something than anyone else has been the major driving force of entrepreneurship, which has been the driving force of our country.

Competition is an asset to our society, in terms of economy. If it wern't for competing students and companies how else could we strive for better, to become better.
I know this to be a fact in sports, a high level of competition always creates a better player and it doesnt matter the sport or the age group, as long as it all remains within the boundaries of fair play.

If I were going to take a stand on this topic, it would be that healthy competition is the bedrock of capitalism. And that laziness, greed and corruption based in monopolies (pharmaceuticals, oil companies, Central banks) are in the process of destroying the greatest nation on earth. Soon, all the unethical profit will come to naught because unethical people are fundementally stupid. So, competition itself is not destroying the fabric of our society, but unlawful competition--or competition taken to unhealthy and unethical extremes.

Everyone is competing, and no one helps others. Everyone looks out for their own interests, and everyone is so worried about their own problems that interaction and participation in civics, clubs, and gatherings are down. Also, no one wishes to address real problems, such as homelessness, poverty, poor health care, or crime.

Let the others speak.

Offer no argument on grounds that it would compete with the other argument, thus becoming detrimental to society.

Let the people who are for the motion speak first. listen to their reasons, then state yours.
