There has been a lot of talk about driving the homeless people here in town out. They have started arresting the homeless for sleeping in parks before they are open... now I see that they are actually outlawing citizens from feeding the homeless. They compared them with Pigeons... My jaw dropped when I saw it, they actually compared these people, which most of them have some major problem whether it be a serious mental disorder, drug abuse or many of them alcohol abuse; have actually been compared with a damn bird.
What can we do, as a regular joe, to prevent the city and Major Goodman from making these people even lower in the eyes of people and to help these people with their problems?

I'm not bashing Mayor Goodman at all, but he needs to reevaluate his motives on this situation. I understand that some do not want to help themselves but instead of taking them to the police station they can take them to a mental institute and evaluate their mental health when they appear to not be able to do much to help themselves. The problem with this situation is that people in the government office is comparing these people with animals. They are human beings just like yourself Mr. Davis. I know that you would not want to be compared to a pigeon would you?
I do support the plan to help the homeless here in town by the workforce training and the clothing and food they provide to these people but I do not support arresting and outlawing of feeding these people that are in desperate need of some help.
If you do not support what I say, that is fine. The beauty is that we get our own say on it but people need to wake up and realize these people are in pain and need more help.

these people, the homeless, used to be like everyone else
that walks among us
we cant treat them like birds, they are human beings
everyone deserves a second chance to turn their life around unless they wish to continue their life as a homeless
these homeless people are our family, friends, neighbors, people u normally see walking down the street
to help them with their problems you need to create a place that can help them through the process of removing the alcohol abuse, mental disorder, drug abuse, as u have noted, and many other problems that they may have
another thing many people should do is donate canned foods to a shelter that the homeless can go to for food
instead of people giving them money on the street for food, people should put that money into donation boxes to help build some more food shelters
if the mayor wont help, then its the citizens turn to help as much as they can

Just in case you did not know this but L.A. rounds them up like cattle every now and then and gives them a one way ticket to Las Vegas, Las Vegas does the same but sends them to Utah and Utah does them the same but sends them back to L.A.
The homeless presents a health hazard to them self's and others. They stand in the middle of the street begging for money, they pee and poo in the parks, behind stores in the allies and parking lots. They spread germs and diseases all over the town. You need to do a little more research. I for one support Mayor Goodman in cleaning up Las Vegas and the many programs he has started for the homeless and the many other programs he is trying to get started. He started programs that feed, clothes, and shelter the homeless. He started work programs the help them get back on there feet and he started medical programs for them. As you know helping people only works when they want help. Why don't you do this, next time you go to a restaurant with your family (Wife and kids) stop on a street corner and pick up a homeless person have him sit right next to your wife and take him to dinner with you.

That is outragious... Now what they should do is pick these people up and evaluate their problem that has caused them to be homeless and direct them to the proper facilities to correct the problem... if they mentally ill, get them help! If they underqualified for jobs then assist them in a job training program and help them get on their feet.. what a mess... the people who dont need public assistance are using it all up when people that truly need it are pushed aside... okay im done venting

sounds like known "miscommunication". The "type" of human beings to "partake" lunch and under no circumstances wanting to work out or be interrupted for the period of their dinning ***** of being "hounded" by using "beggar's" to their acquaintances on city council. for this reason, the rule of thumb. How bout a rule; "do not difficulty the homeless and hungry"? If there is that a lot of a difficulty with homeless and hungry interior the parks, yet another unenforceable regulation isn't fixing the issue, only making it worst. outline the "difficulty" properly or have the picnic tables taken out of the parks! trouble-free, actual?

"How can the City of Las Vegas outlaw feeding the Homeless?"

VERY EASILY--just pass a city ordiance to get rid of the loafers and sponges. People are fed up with vagrants and Las Vegas is where people go to have fun, not to have to fight their ways through crowds of panhandlers and mooches.

Easily enough answer. Next!!
