I am ashamed of our perceived leaders who are not worth their positions.

Don't wait for a leader to do things for you. The people should take the government into their own hands. Transparent, accountable democracy. Voting for a politican every few years isn't enough participation in the political process. Civic participation should be a weekly / daily activity.
