My little 'princess' is up in my ribs. I keep trying to gently push her down, but she's not cooperating. I'm 35 weeks preg tomorrow. When is she likely to "drop?" I can't wait to get a little relief.

Just to be clear: I'm not pushing her down to 'make' her drop...i'm just trying to get her out of my rib cage :-)

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but neither of my kids "dropped" until about a week before they were born. I felt like my stomach was pushing up into my lungs! ;)

Good luck! I hope you're delivery is less than 2 hours with no pain!

lol I hate to say it, but my boy was using my ribs as a foot rest even after he dropped. Usually with a first pregnancy though, the baby will drop about 2-4 weeks before he or she is due. It's not something that can be easily predicted. With subsequent babies, and sometimes even for first ones, they don't drop until you're almost in labor, or already in labor. I'm 30 weeks and this little one has been nudging my ribs for about a week now, so I can't blame ya for wanting her to move. Both of my pregnancies, the baby has has his head down low in my pelvis anyway, so once they drop they don't go very far.

If this is your first baby, usually about 1 - 2 weeks before delivery. That means you've probably got up to three more weeks of misery! LOL!! Try going for a walk if she's sitting really high. That usually helped me. Gravity seems to help bring the baby down a liitle for some TEMPORARY relief. Otherwise you'll just have to keep trying to coax her down with slight pressure like you've been doing so she will change her position. Also, when she assumes the birth position of head down, it will help some, since you will just have her feet to coax, instead of her head and shoulders. That may happen in as little as 2 or 3 weeks! Good luck!

Just be patient. I know alot of people are telling you that but it is the best advice. She will drop when she is ready and no amount of 'pushing her down' will cause her to do it any sooner. I dropped around 38 weeks but was induced days later cause of pre-eclampsia. You have 5 more weeks to go just relax and get alot of sleep cause believe me momma you're gonna need it!!!!

I think any where between 4 to 6 weeks before your due date, but everyone is different. when you drop you will have less heartburn and won't be so short of breath. also you will feel alot more pressure in your pelvic area, which may get uncomfortable.

1-2 weeks before delivery. My son was low the whole time, so I could not even tell when he dropped.

My son was a busy body so at one moment he was in my ribs and another was in my stuff. I carried low so I have no idea. Boys sit low and girls sit high.
