I walked away from a real good job. I was set for the rest of my life, good pay, hours, summers off, weekends off, evenings off. The people that I worked with were grown woman who acted like children. The gossip, lies, cover up was not worth my emotional health. They treated another employee badly because of her color, but it was really their own fear & ignorance. It was funny how my boss slobered all over me with her gratitude when I came along and showed everyone a better pace and direction. Then when I stook up for the new employee, all of a sudden I make everyone uncomfortable.

Yes, but try other things first. Those problems exist everywhere. Does the company/organization condone it? Is there a manager that you trust enough to tell about the extent of the problem? Most bosses are interested if it's way out of hand and work isn't getting done. I don't mean snitching. I mean talking about the atmosphere in the office being poisoned in general.
Get another job first if you decide to quit. You need solid references.

If you don't like the job and can find a new one: yes.
If you like the job and aren't interested in a new one: no. Go to your HR or compliance department and get the mess settled. No one deserves to work in a hostile environment. It's against the law, too.
