the standard of education here is at a much higher level than in India.
People come over from India with degree level education and have had to go through the British college system again.
UK is better

Indian education at the higher levels is almost certainly better than in the UK. We have watered down our education to the point where it is a joke. Do you know that some Unis do TWO year foundation courses, because the levels are so low.
This is not the fault of the kids, they are the same, it is the crap education system and the "all must have prizes" mentality which means kids can get away with not working.
This keeps everyone limited except those able to afford private education or to live in posh area near good schools. The abolition of the old Grammar Schools mean poor but clever kids don't stand much of a chance here, other than doing crap courses at crap universities and there are loads of them!

I'm British asian and the standard of education here is at a much higher level than in India.
I have had friends and relatives come over from India with degree level education and have had to go through the British college system again.
