first off let's start with the division I don't think the reds can that out but if the cards go into a bad streach (but the chances of that are very slim) and the reds play the way that everyone in red legs nation knows that they can play we might have a shot at the division but i think it is time for us to look at the wild card
Cincinnati
52 47 .525 --
San Francisco
51-48 .515 1.0
Arizona
50-48 .510 1.5
Houston
47-52 .475 5.0
Los Angeles
47-52 .475 5.0
Milwaukee
47-52 .475 5.0
7/24 v PIT, 8:05P
Atlanta
46-51 .474 5.0
7/24 @ PHI, 7:05P
Colorado
46-51 .474 5.0
Florida
4552 .464 6.0
Philadelphia
44-51 .463 6.0
Washington
43-56.434 9.0
Chicago
37-60 .381 14.0
Pittsburgh
35-65 .350 17.5
If the reds can keep it going and the trades that they made for Gardado and Majeski and Bray pan out and with the solid defensive play of Royce Clayton at shortstop i think we have a decent shot. But the again i am a die-hard reds fan so maybe it is just the fact that we have the hope this year and a healthy team. But i will take the reds in the wild card we had a shot at it in 99 and missed it by one game this year we will get it.

Hi, I'm a die hard Reds fan and I want to see them make it. I think the only way they will get there will be via the wild card. And for them to get in I think they need to get a starting pitcher if not 1 maybe 2. They have Harrag, Arryo, Rameriz, and Milton. If they can get a 5th starter who is a proven winner and can eat up some innings then that will help them make the playoffs. I still think they may need another releiver. The 1 they got from Washington his name starts with a W he has not done as well as I think the Reds were counting on. So 1 decent starter and a decent releiver will give the Reds a better chance to get in. GO REDS

Your God-d@mned right they can. The redlegs need just to get some solid bullpen pitching, bring up Homer Bailey, and keep hitting like they do (except yesterday of course) then they can at least keep in the race for the wild-card if not the division. Once they reach the playoffs though, it could be difficult, except they do have a good number one and two starter in Aaron Harang and Bronson Arroyo. If Homer Bailey can pitch well and Eric Milton continues pitching well, they have a definite shot.

Yes, they'll probably win the Wild Card... they lead the wild card standings now, so anyone who says the Cardinals will win the division and the Reds won't make the playoffs obviously forgot about the wild card...

The Reds have a reasonable shot at both the Wild Card and their division, especially if Bronson Arroyo keeps it up. I'd say Wild Card is more likely though.

Definitely. If they keep playing well through the end of the season, they will make it. Right now, they are in line to be the NL Wild Card, so they don't even have to pass the Cardinals in the standings. And it doesn't hurt that they play in the worst division in baseball.

Currently they are the wild card.
I personally would love to see a Cincinnati/Detroit WORLD Series.
The Tigers owe The Reds for beating us in 1940.

Yes, they can, they are only 5 games behind St. Louis. If they can get the starting pitching and Guardado does the job closing games out they have a shot.

They can, but they will need some pitching help in the bull pen if they're going to hold on to the wild-card. I don't think they can win their division though.
