Normally. I've thought about this before. For one, unless everyone else you cared about could live eternally too, it would be hard to go through lifetimes of friends and lovers who could never follow you through your life as you had new experiences. Also, people seem to be most nostalgic of the time period they were born. People born in the 30's, 40's etc. think kids today are punks and if I lived eternally I would grow to hate the evolving world with what I deemed as "punks" according to the standards I grew up with. There are a lot of advancements in the world I'd love to see but there are a lot of terrible things I hope I'm never around long enough to see--WWIII, Pollution everywhere, Loss of coastal regions like CA and FL to hurricanes and earthquakes. I'd rather live in my own time and cherish the things I have now. Besides, who wants to have a body older than 50-60 anyway? Once I'm 80 or 90, I'd like to be DONE.

Well, nornally I would want to live eternally, but I'm eternally grateful for the opportunity to live normally.
I would like to live eternally just to find out what the final solution will be and to be able to say " I was right" and " I told U so" .
Scientists predict that, due to the constant expansion of the sun, our orbit is getting tighter around it, and eventually Mercury and Venus will be pulverized and our tiny planet will be devoid of life and resemble a piece of cinder.
So you'd better get that garden in, return all your books to the library, Call your grandparents and tell 'em U love 'em, and do what U need to do, because in a billion years or so, eternity is going to be not so eternal.

My answer would partially depend on if all of my friends and loved ones also had the option to live eternally. If not, it would be a miserable existence to see everyone else die before me. Another reason I wouldn't want to live in this world forever because there's too much evil in this world. So I guess I would rather live for my 50+ yrs and normally.

Eternally...Normal is boring. Think of all the cool stuff you'll get to see. True, you'll have to experience the grief of watching all your friends and family die...but if that's the price you pay to get to finally drive a flying car, so be it.

Normally. It gives a lot more meaning to the time you are alive. To live forever and see history repeat itself over and over would get boring.
