Depends what format the original movie clip is. Have a look at DVDshrink(freeware)

get the trail version divx from

This will definetly fit on to ur disk. But if you want to play it on a dvd player u need a newer dvd player.
How ever If you need a dvd or vcd that plays on a dvd player then u can try using something like ulead Video Studio.

what kind of disk are u using? it should fit on a CD-R, if not put it on a DVD if you have a DVD burner. you should have one of those. they've dropped so much in price...they're real cheap now.
