Well, it's better that no one remembers your birthday so none would ask your age and nobody would realize that you're now a year older!!! He! He! He! Just kidding!

Actually most of the people who are celebrating their respective birthday get sentimental, emotional and sensitive. It's normal, especially if the people whom they're expecting to greet them unintentionally forget to do so. Dear friend i understand how u feel, it's just but normal, but don't dwell on being sorry for yourself. Don't linger on that emotion but instead look at the other perspective of life. Though no one greets you, still, u should be thankful that you reach this another year of your life. Be extremely and genuinely happy for the truth is, there's this GREAT BEING who truly cares and never forgets you in every second of your life. The PERSON who has said that HE knows you even at the time that you're conceived in your mother's womb and HE knows even the count of the strands of your hair. No love is greater than the love HE can offer, my dear. So CHEER UP you are very much appreciated and well loved by the one who created and never forgets your birthday ...your LORD and CREATOR!!!

OH yeah, let the pity party begin!!

My birthday this year was the same way!! I'm a stay at home Mom and didn't expect anything from my 2.5 year old. But I basically bought my own presents, because my hubby said he didn't know what I wanted (even though I gave him a list along with websites where he could find the stuff)

My Mom gave me a check - which helps financially but it's not like I can use the $$ to do something fun for myself -

I thought I was going to my Dad's house for a birthday party, and it turned into a - "Let's get everyone together we (my Dad and Step-Mom) haven't seen in a while and go over stories with them that Triddine has no idea about"

My bellydance troupe did make me a cake, and a friend got me a book - but no party, no one saying happy birthday - no one basically giving a darn -

well I feel grumpy now - if you want to dump on me feel free it's only fair!!!

It depends on how old you are - if you're under 12, then I am sad for you. But if you are older than that, use your birthday as a day to think about what you have accomplished with your life and decide what you want to accomplish in the next year, the next five years and the rest of your life. Birthdays don't have to be celebrated with cake and balloons to be good. My parents stopped observing my birthday after I turned 10, and I used to feel sorry for myself too, until I realized it wasn't getting me anywhere. Happy Birthday! from me, and get on with your life.

No. Many people around the world celebrate their birthday by drinking human sewerage from the only mud hole within 1000 miles of them. You are fortunate that you are intelligent and articulate enough to reach out for your birthday greetings.
Happy Birthday.
