I personally get shy because I'm afraid that by saying hi to them I will be bothering them or annoying them. If they say hi first, then I will respond, because it was their choice. But otherwise I feel like maybe they would rather not talk to me and I want to respect that. Just one of those shy person paranoias I guess...
But I don't go out of my way to hide or anything, that's just plain out avoiding someone...

Not quite sure who or what you are talking about. I never hide from people I know on the street. Maybe its just you!

Sometimes I am embaresed of how I look now, meaning I have gained some weight and dont want that perosn to see me, or honestly just dont want to have a conversation with that person.. maybe we have nothing to say to one another!
