I am really scared about going into Highschool, will i make any friends?

yes honey, just dont be scared i was the same way high school is so much better that middle because people just seem to be nicer and more friendly, jsut get into clubs and try to be outgoing and try to make friends and you will, if your shy though like i was its a little harder but if you had any friends when you were in middle just hang with them and eventually after you get used to high school you'll realize its really no different than middle, dont worry it'll be ok if you have anymore questions at all feel free to contact me my email is [e-mail]

The number one thing you can do is to join a group such as choir, band, a sports team etc. - especially if your school is large. This gives you an instant group of people to be with that share like interests. Even though we know appearances shouldn't be that important - reality says they are ( especially in high school) Get a new haircut or something special to make yourself feel more confident about your appearance. Wear something stylish the first day to boost your self-esteem. In other words - the first day of school is probably not the day to show up dressed Goth in order to make a personal statement. You can always change your style to fit your personality as the year goes on. For the first week or two keep everything low key and be yourself. Friendships take time to develop - so be patient.

Well when I first started I knew no one. U have to pick your friends cuz most are jus too phony. I quickly got a lot of friends and let em go cuz a lot of them were fake. I got lost but not a lot cuz I learned my whole schedule with in 3-4 days. Be social but stay in your books. Thats the worst thing that can happen, be the most popular person and the dumbest. There will be a lot of pressure on you so dont cave in an try no to be involved in other peoples drama. Females will hate especially cuz u said you will look hot but dont sweat them. i rode the bus and i met some old friends and new friends its all about being true to yourself
i went through the same thing i think it had to due with all the movies and tv shows that i saw

well it really depends if there are other kids like u that apparently didnt come from your middle school or u just moved there. there is a big possibility that no kids will be your friends it isnt like kindergarden where u could go up to someone and suddenly be your best friend. but there is also a possibilty that u will make friends but u cant just wait for someone to want to be u're friends. join clubs and be welcome to everyone unless they are big jerks than just tell them to bite u. but have fun.
