i am going to Hungary next week, to Budapest.?

maybe you got some advices what places i'll have to visit there .thanx

There are sooo many places to see and so many things to do, that I am convinced that you will have the time.
The Margaret Island is unique, beautifull landmark, the Castle on the Buda side of the Danube is also a must, you can have there a few drinks at the Fisherman's Bastion, the Citadel is worth seeing, you can see most of the city from there. The Heroes Square with the Vajdahunyad Castle right behind it is a beautifull place to see, the Parliament building is worth visiting from inside and outside as well. If you like shopping, the Westend City Mall behind the Nyugati Railway station is the place to go. It is a gorgeous city, you won't regret the time spent there. Have fun

Just got back from Budapest a couple of weeks back, can only agree with the above answer with all that was said. It is such a beautiful place. Take in all the scenery by walking along the sides of the river and just soak up the sights and the atmosphere.
Budapest looks even more beautiful when it is lit up at night too!

Just be aware of some psychotic driving by the locals, that is the only negative I can think of really :)

Hello, my hint for you: the House of Terror (www.terrorhaza.hu) and the Statue Park (www.szoborpark.hu) near to the city. These are highly visited places by Westerners who want to have a personal impression of the earlier Communist era. You can have a boat ride on the Danube by day and night, both are very nice! This summer you will also see the Cow Parade which I dont really like here :-) You can go to the top of the Gellert hill and into the caves of the Castle ;-)
