You can reduce anything you want to a single sentence to make it sound stupid. "Landing on the moon is just taking off and landing there, what is special about that?" "building a sky scraper is just metal and cement what is so special about that?" "brain surgery is just cracking open somebody head and routing around in there, what is special about that?" "nuclear energy is just water on heat, what is special about that?"
If you have no desire to see past the prime case that is presented before you then you will never understand. But the T.V has done an amazing job in giving detail in it's games. To explain the game to everybody and keep fans watching. It was a cute attempt to show your superiority and pointing out what is little in football. But I think you missed the mark by a great bit.
If you invade you ignorance with information, you might discover truth about your investigation, and your self.

TELL ME ABOUT IT!!I mean its only a bunch of guys making a mountain wen jumpin on each other..and all I do when watching is feeling sorry for the guy at the bottom..seriously if I were a football player I wud run away from the ball if thats wats gonna happen 2 me 4 grabbing it!

It's easy to make any sport sound infantile and stupid with silly perspectives.
Jumping on butts. Fat men. Sorry that's just plain silly.
I'm not knocking your question because you just don't understand how complex the game really is. Far too complex to try explaining it to ya.
That's why the networks show soap opera too. Variety.

Obviously you know nothing of the strategy, teamwork and excitement of the game. Actually go see a game before you slam it !
Now professional WWE wrestling, that is silly! How about NASCAR (Non Athletic Sport Centered Around Rednecks) is a waste also.

If it it's football, well built men in tight pants can be interesting. If it's wrestling, overweight men in short pants with their faces in each other's crotches can be disgusting!
